THE CREW REPORTED EMERGENCY LIGHT ABOVE F/A WAS INOPERATIVE.  MAINTENANCE PERFORMED RECHARGE OF EMERGENCY LIGHT BATTERY WITH APU RUNNNING.  OPS CHECK OF EMERGENCY LIGHTS WERE GOOD.
