PILOT REPORTED EICAS MESSAGE FOR CARGO BAY SMOKE FOR 5 SECONDS,  CLIMBING THROUGH 14000 FEET. MX PERFORMED OPS CHECK OF CARGO SMOKE DETECTION SYSTEM WITH NO DEFECTS NOTED. ACFT WAS APPROVED FOR RETURN TO SERVICE.
