## Discrepancy

(AUS) LEFT ENGINE FAILED WITH AN EXPLOSIVE SOUND AND SPARKS FROM THE EXHAUST.   INITIAL INVESTIGATION REVEALED EXTENSIVE DAMAGE TO THE POWER SECTION.
