## Discrepancy

AIRCRAFT WAS ON APPROACH INTO BDL WHEN PILOT NOTICED SMOKE IN THE COCKPIT.  DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND LANDED AT BDL WITH NO PROBLEMS.  MAINTENANCE FOUND WINDSHIELD HEAT SWITCH SHORTED.  REMOVED AND REPLACED DEFECTIVE SWITCH, OPS CHECKS GOOD.
