## Discrepancy

ON CLIMBOUT FROM FXE, PILOT NOTICED ALTIMETER NOT FUNCTIONING.  PILOT PROCEEDED TO RETURN BACK AND LAND SAFELY AT FXE WITHOUT INCIDENT.  MAINTENANCE REPLACED DEFECTIVE ALTIMETER, OPERATIONAL CHECK SATISFACTORY, NO FURTHER DEFECTS NOTED.
