FLIGHT 3043 - EWR - FLIGHT CREW REPORTED LANDING GEAR AIR GROUND FAIL MESSAGE ON EICAS.  EWR MX REMOVED AND REPLACED LGEU AND PERFORMED OPERATIONAL CHECK SUCCESSFULLY.  ACFT WAS APPROVED TO RETURN TO SERVICE.
