FLIGHT 3092 - EWR - FLIGHT CREW REPORTED LANDING GEAR AIR GROUND FAIL MESSAGE ON EICAS.  EWR MX REMOVED AND REPLACED PROX SW ON LT GEAR TRAILING ARM AND PERFORMED OPERATIONAL CHECK SUCCESSFULLY.  ACFT WAS APPROVED TO RETURN TO SERVICE.
