(CAN) ENROUTE THE NR 2 ENGINE REDUCTION GEARBOX CHIP LIGHT ILLUMINATED. PRECAUTIONARY SHUTDOWN ACCOMPLISHED. MAINTENANCE FOUND A SMALL METALLIC SLIVER ON SIDE MAGNETIC PLUG. MAINTENANCE CLEANED AND REINSTALLED PLUGS, GOUND RUN CARRIED OUT BEFORE RETURN TO SERVICE.
