## Discrepancy

(CAN) ON TOP OF CLIMB NR 1 ENGINE OIL FILTER BY-PASS CAME ON STEADY. CHECK LIST WAS PERFORMED AND LIGHT REMAINED ON. ENGINE SHUT DOWN HAD TO BE COMPLETED AS PER QRH, AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO TORONTO.
