## Discrepancy

(CAN)DURING MAINTENANCE THE RETRACTABLE DOOR STEP STRUT BROKE OFF APPROXIMATELY 2 INCHES ABOVE THE LOWER AXLE CENTRE LINE. INSPECTION REVEALED A CRACK APPROXIMATELY 5/8 INCH LONG PROPAGATING FROM THE LOWERCASTING PLUG HAD PREVIOUSLY GONE UNDETECTED.
