DOOR FWD CARGO EICAS CAUTION FORWARD CARGO DOOR NOT FULLY CLOSED, LATCHED AND LOCKED.   FOUND LOOSE PLASTIC PART OF CARGO STRAP BLOCKING INDICATION OF LATCH SENSOR S52042 TARGET. REMOVED STRAP & INDICATION RETURNED TO NORMAL.  FWD DOOR SENSORS S52021, S52022, S52042 DISCONNECTED AND STOWED.  RESTORED FWD DOOR INDICATION DEACTIVATED IAW MEL 5271I, DOOR OPS NORMAL TEST CARRIED OUT IAW AMM 52-34-00-710-801.ALL INDICATION NORMAL.CARGO DOOR TAPE RESTORED.MEL REMOVED.
