FWD PIT TRANSITION PANEL UPPER SURFACE HAS CORROSION FROM APPROX STA 500+15 - 500D, LH SIDE.  REMOVED CORROSION IAW B737-900ER SRM 51-10-02. ORIGINAL THICKNESS 0.040, MATERIAL LOSS 0.005, REMAINING THICKNESS 0.035 FOUND OUT OF LIMITS IAW SRM 53-00-53-1A-2. REMOVED AND REPLACED FWD PIT TRANSITION PANEL SECTION FROM STA 590 TO STA 500D L/H SIDE IAW SRM 51-40-02 AND SRM 53-00-53- 2R-5.
