BRIEF SMOKEY ODOR AT CRZ CONT CAB TEMP ROSE TO 40 DESCENDING. LT PACK TRIP ON LANDING.  CAPT. STATED ODOR WAS INTERMITTENT IN CRUISE. LT PACK TRIPPED DURING OPS. PERFORMED BITE CHECK IAW AMM 21-61-00-700-806-002 & TCV FAULTING.  R & R LT PACK TEMP CONTROL VALVE IAW AMM 21-51-10-400-801, BITE & LEAK CHKD GOOD. LT PACK STILL OVER HEATING & TRIPPING OFF.  REMOVED ACM IAW AMM 21-51-04-000-802-002 INSTALLED ACM UP TO STEP J. IAW AMM 21-51-04. PREFORMED LEAK TEST ON BOTH THE LT & RT ACM & PACK BAY AREA IAW AMM 21-51-04-400-802-002, PREFORMED BITE CHECK ON THE LT AND RT PACK/ZONE TEMPERATURE CONTROLLERS IAW AMM 21-51-04-400-802-002, NO FAULTS PRESENT, PREFORMED LT & RT PACK OPS TESTED,  NO ODOR PRESENT, OK TO CONTINUE
