ELEC BACKUP GEN R EICAS STATUS RIGHT BACKUP GENERATOR OFF DUE TO A PROTECTIVE TRIP.   DB BACKUP CONVERTER R&R E2 BUG IAW AMM 24-25-01. SECOND QUALIFIED MECHANIC WITNESSED NEW BUG SHAFT PACKING REPLACED.   C/W IDT INSPECTION OF BUG FEEDER CABLE INSTALLATION IAW AMM 24-25-01 AND GMM 09-10-05 E2 BUG OPS AND LEAK CHECK STILL REQUIRED. POWERPLANT TEST 2, 5 AND 6 REQUIRED IAW AMM 24-25-01. CORRECTION ONLY POWERPLANT TEST 2 AND 5 REQUIRED FOR BUG ON E2. OPS & LEAK CHECK GOOD.
