CREW REPORTED, L1 DOOR GIRT BAR SLIDE HAS EXCESS GIRT MATERIAL.    MX ACCOMPLISHED INSPECTION OF ESCAPE SLIDE GIRT BAR & FOUND EXCESSIVE GIRT MEASUREMENTS OUT OF LIMITS IAW AMM 25-66-01. REPACK, REPLACEMENT OF DOOR 1L.  R & R L1 ESCAPE SLIDE IAW AMM 25-66-01-000-801 AND 25-66-01-400-803.   REMOVED GIRT BAR & INSTALLED ON NEW ESCAPE SLIDE PACK IAW AMM 25-66-01-000-803 AND 25-66-01-000-804.  GIRT MATERIAL IS WITHIN LIMITS. CYCLED GIRT BAR THROUGH ARMED AND DISARMED AND OPENING AND CLOSING OF DOOR. ALL GOOD.
