R2 GENERATOR FAILED. RESET IAW CHECKLIST,  NOT SUCCESSFUL,  FOUND MAINT MSG 24-16074 LATCHED.   REMOVED NR 2 ENG R2 VFSG IAW AMM DMC-B787-A-24-21-09-00B-520A-A. FIM DMC-B787-A-24-20-F0-12A-421A-A.  STARTED INSTALLATION OF NR 2 ENGINE RT VSFG IAW AMM 24-21-09-00B-720A-A,  INSPECTED POWER FEEDER CABLES TORQUE VALUE ACP IDT INSP IAW GMM 09-10-05, VERIFIED TORQUE AND NO DEFECTS NOTED.  INSTALLED NR 2 ENGINE RIGHT VFSG IAW AMM 24-21-09-00B-720A-A. OPS & LEAK CHKD.   ACP'D OPS TEST OF NR 2 ENG R2 VFSG IAW AMM.  CLOSED AND SECURED ALL NR 2 ENG COWLS IAW AMM DMC-B787-A-G71-11-04-00B-740A-A, AND DMC-B787-A-G78-31-00-15B-740A-A. T/R OPS CHKD GOOD. NO VFSG LEAKS.
