## Discrepancy

FWD EQPT VALVE CAUTION MSG ON CLIMB OUT. TRIED TO CLOSE FWD EQUIP VAL PER FLIGHT MANUAL NON-NORMAL 2.20.45 VALVE AND MESSAGE WOULD NOT CLEAR. NEED TO MANUALLY CLOSE IAW MEL 2158S PROCEDURE 1.  PERFORMED MAINTENANCE PROC ACCORDING MEL 2158S. ENSURED EXHAUST VALVE IS CLOSED AND C/B IS PULLED.  PERFORMED PROCEDURE #2 CORRECTION USE PROCEDURE 2 FWD EQPT VALVE. MANUALLY CLOSED VALVE.  THE VALVE LIGHT AND FWD EQPT VAL EICAS ADVISORY MESSAGE WILL REMAIN ILLUMINATED AT ALL TIMES.
