FLIGHT 7584 EN-ROUTE, AIR TURN BACK DISCREPANCY.  NR 1 ATTITUDE HEADING REFERENCE SYS FAILURE ON TAKEOFF.  CREW ELECTED TO RETURN, NO EMER DECLARED.  REPLACED THE NR 1 AHRU.  OPERATIONS CHECKED GOOD & ACFT RETURNED TO SERVICE.
