FLIGHT 5542 - RECEIVED CABIN ALT CAUTION.  CABIN PRESS RISING SLOWLY BUT STEADILY THROUGH 8000 FT.  PERFORMED QRH, EMERGENCY DESCENT TO 10000.  CABIN PRESS STABILIZED.  REPLACED LEFT PACK WATER SEPARATOR DRAIN LINE.
