AFTER DEPARTURE FROM LGA LOUD NOISE IN FRONT RIGHT SIDE OF A/C.  A/C RETURNED TO LGA, LANDED SAFELY.  INSPECTED A/C FOUND COMMUNICATION DOOR LEFT OPEN.  INSPECTED DOOR, NO DAMAGE NOTED, SECURED DOOR CLOSED.
