CREW REPORTED THE AIRCRAFT EXPERIENCED LEFT ENGINE ROLL BACK AND RETURNING TO STI.  CORRECTIVE ACTION: NO INLET OR EXHAUST DAMAGE, PERFORMED ACTUATORS TEST WITH NO FAULTS.  CHIP DETECTORS CHECKED CLEAN, REPLACED HMU AND ENGINE FUEL PUMP.  ENGINE RUN CHECKS GOOD.
