AFTER 35 MIN FLIGHT FAS REPORTED BURNING PLASTIC SMELL FROM THE BACK GALLEY. SHORTLY AFTER WE ALSO SMELLED IN THE FLIGHT DECK DONNED MASKS AND EXPEDITED TO SLC AND COMPLETED QRH. C/W W/C 0550-2001 STEPS 1-10+13-16 COMPLETED STEP 11 OF W/C 0550-2001. C/W BSI OF LPC + HPC FOR OIL PER 0550-6001 NO FINDINGS. C/W W/C 0550-2003 STEPS 1-17. T/S SMELL FORM LT PACK FOUND ANTI-ICE FLUID CONTAMINATION IN LT RAM AIR DUCT. FOUND OIL UNDER AFT SPINNER. R & R ENG 1 FAN SHAFT COVER PACKING. AMP 72-15. CW WORK CARD 0550-2003 STEPS 17 AND 18,  BURNOUT PER STEP 19 STILL REQUIRES ADDITIONAL BURNOUT. DEACTIVATED PRSOV AND HPV ON NR 1 ENG IAW AMP 36-11 IN PREP FOR MEL 36-12-00A. FWD TO MEL 36-12- 00A. PLACARD INSTALLED "M" PROCEDURES C/W. AMDS WORKCARD 0550- 2003 C/W. REVERSED 'M' PROCEDURES. TO T/S W/C 0550-2001. PLACARDS REMOVED. MEL CLEARED.
