REMOVED O2 MASK / SMOKE DETECTOR ACCESS PANEL FROM CEILING OF FWD LAV.  REMOVED AND REPLACED AIR EXTRACTION HOOD ABOVE FWD LAV CEILING PANEL AND REINSTALLED PANEL PER CMM 25-40. PERFORMED O2 MASK DROP TEST PER A319 AMM 35-23 AND LAV SMOKE DETECTOR TEST PER A319 AMM 26-17. ALL TESTS GOOD. OK FOR SERVICE. (LP: 8165368). AIRCRAFT WAS GROUNDED
