DIV/DE- DUE TO LEFT ENGINE COMPRESSOR STALL AND UNABLE TO ADVANCE ENGINE SPEED ABOVE IDLE WITHOUT MORE STALLS.   BORESCOPE INSPECTION OF HPC SHOWS 4TH AND 8TH STAGE BLADES WITH DAMAGE BEYOND LIMITS. REPLACED LEFT ENGINE ON LOG PAGE 1573589 PER AMDS CARD 71004423-LH. (LOG 8590492 - AIRCRAFT WAS GROUNDED).
