## Discrepancy

ON DESCENT TO ATL AROUND FL250 ENG1 BEGAN TO COMPRESSOR STALL. ECAM STALL WARNING CAME AND WENT SEVERAL TIMES. PULLED ENG1 LVR TO IDLE PER ECAM PROCEDURE. ENGINE REMAINED RUNNING INFLIGHT AND WAS ABLE TO OPERATE UP TO 40% WITHOUT STALLING. ON LANDING ROLLOUT ENG1 FAILED COMPLETELY AND SHUT ITSELF DOWN.   REPLACED NBR 1 ENGINE. (LP 8602350, 1576264 - AIRCRAFT WAS GROUNDED)
