CREW REPORTS MUSTY HAZE IN CABIN, APU RUNNING PACKS OFF. TURNED ON PACKS, MADE ISSUE WORSE. WOULD NOT DISSAPATE UNTIL PACKS AND APU SHUT DOWN.  OPENED APU ACCESS DOORS FOR INSPECTION IAW AMM 52-41. INITIAL VISUAL INSPECTION, FOUND LARGE QTY OF OIL IN APU INLET.  REF LOG 1600573 FOR ADDITIONAL MSI PREVENTION INFORMATION, REF LOG 1600573 FOR WORK PERFORMED. (LP: 8678636). AIRCRAFT WAS GROUNDED
