## Discrepancy

COFFEE MAKER DAMAGED, INOPERATIVE,  AFT GALLEY COFFEE MAKER MADE POPPING SOUND AND THEN SMELLED ACRID SMELL. TURNED OFF UNIT AND SMELL WENT AWAY / INTERIOR. REMOVED BEVERAGE MAKER AND INSPECTED WIRING HARNESS AND ASSOCIATED CONNECTORS. NO DEFECTS NOTED. INSTALLED NEW COFFEE MAKER PER AMM 25-36. OPS CHECK GOOD. DEFERRAL REMARKS REVERSED. REMOVED PART ROUTED TO QUARANTINE. MCC NOTIFIED. (LP# 1686053; AIRCRAFT WAS GROUNDED)
