BROKEN SPRING OF OUTSIDE HANDLE UP FLAPPER AT AFT LH EMERGENCY EXIT HATCH.   SPRING OF HINGE WAS REPLACED EFECTIVITY WAS VERIFIED PER AIPC 52-22-01-05 ITEM 495. THE OFF-WING ESCAPE SYSTEM LH WAS DISARMED & ARMED PER B757-300 AMM 25-65-00. AFT LH EMERGENCY EXIT WAS REMOVED AND RE-INSTALLED PER B757-300 AMM 52 -22-01. (1809741)(AIRCRAFT GROUNDED)
