AFTER LANDING BOTH LEFT MAIN BRAKES WERE SMOKING EXCESSIVELY AND GENERATING HEAT. REQUEST EVALUATION. CORRECTIVE ACTION: PERFORMED INSPECTION OF LH MAIN BRAKE ASSEMBLIES WITH NO DEFECTS NOTED. CHECKED WEAR PINS. BRAKES HAVE 75% LIFE REMAINING. AXLE JACKED LH LANDING GEAR AND SPUN WHEELS WITH AND WITHOUT HYDRAULIC POWER APPLIED. WHEELS SHOWED NO EVIDENCE OF DRAGGING OR DEFECTS. TAXI' D AIRCRAFT. NOTICED NO DEFECTS WITH OPERATION OF BRAKES. INSPECTED LH BRAKE ASSEMBLIES AFTER TAXI WITH NO DEFECTS NOTED. NO DISCREPANCIES NOTED. BRAKES OPERATED AS NORMAL. NO REPORTED HISTORY. RELAYED FINDINGS TO MCC. MCC ELECTS TO RELEASE AIRCRAFT AT THIS TIME.
