## Discrepancy

DURING APPROACH TO LANDING AT APPROXIMATELY 500 FEET, CREW COULD FEEL CABIN PRESSURE CLIMBING RAPIDLY. FEELING WAS VISUALLY VERIFIED ON EICAS WITH CABIN CLIMBING AT OVER 1,500. DURING THIS EVENT AMBER CAS MESSAGE CARGO DOOR ILLUMINATED AND TRANSITIONED TO A WHITE STATUS CARGO DOOR MESSAGE AFTER ENGINE SHUTDOWN. POST FLIGHT INSPECTION OF CARGO DOOR SHOWED THE CARGO DOOR HANDLE EXTENDED WITH THE VENT DOOR OPEN. VENT DOOR PUSH BUTTON OVERLY EASY TO RELEASE. THERE IS DAMAGE BEHIND THE HANDLE. DOOR TRACKS CLEANED. OPS CHECK GOOD. IAW AMM 52-31-05
