NR 2 ENGINE HAD COMPRESSOR STALLED AT FL 390.  CHECKED ENGINE PARAMETERS, SHUTDOWN ENGINE.  DECLARED AN EMERGENCY TO GET DESCENT CLEARANCE TO FL 310.  LANDED YSSY NO PROBLEMS.  (M)
