FLIGHT 1092 - PHL-RDU: CREW RECEIVED EICAS MESSAGE "AVNX MAU 3 FAIL".  THE AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO PHL PER THE QRH PROCEDURE.  MAINTENANCE REMOVED AND REPLACED THE NIC/PROC MODULE FIVE.
