## Discrepancy

NR 2 ENGINE EGT 1018 DEGREES DURING CLIMB OUT.  EGT STAYED HIGH AT REDUCED POWER SETTING.  EGT HIGH ALERT, SHUTDOWN ENGINE.  DUMPED 8500 LBS FUEL PRIOR TO LANDING.  WIRE FOUND DAMAGED, WIRE REPLACED.
