## Discrepancy

AFTER INITIATING DESCENT FROM FL300, WITH PRESENCE OF ST. ELMO S FIRE, L1 WINDOW ARCING OCCURRED  FOLLOWED BY SHATTERING. QRH ACTIONED AND EMERGENCY DECLARED.  REMOVED AND REPLACED L1 WINDSHIELD IAW AMM 56-11-01-4-0 SECTION E, STEP 13, FIRST TORQUE APPLIED SECOND TORQUE WILL APPLIED WITHIN 3 HOURS.  ACCOMPLISHED REMAINING STEPS OF CONNECTED ELECTRICAL TERMINALS AND ALL OPS/TEST COMPLETED AND NORMAL IAW AMM 56-11-01-4, & AMM 56-11-01-4-0.
