DURING TAXI, LEFT FIRE LIGHT HANDLE ILLUMINATED.  ENGINE WAS SHUT DOWN AND EMERGENCY CHECKLIST ACCOMPLISHED.  CORRECTIVE ACTION:  INSPECTED FORWARD AND AFT FIRE LOOPS.  SECURED FORWARD FIRE LOOP.  PERFORMED ENGINE RUNS.  NO DEFECTS NOTED.  OPERATIONAL CHECK NORMAL.
