FLIGHT: 9208, AFTER TAKEOFF SMOKE IN COCKPIT TURNED OFF TRANSPONDER SMOKE STOPPED.RETURNED TO PNS. LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT.  REPLACED ATC TRANSPONDER CONTROL.
