PILOT REPORTED, DOOR WARN, ILLUMINATED 8 MILES FROM DESTINATION.  UPPER CABIN DOOR OPENED 4 MILES FROM DESTINATION DURING DESCENT.  INSPECTED THE CABIN DOOR WITH NO DAMAGE OR DISCREPANCIES NOTED.
