POSSIBLE LEFT ENGINE COMPRESSOR STALL AT FL390. AIRCRAFT ARRIVED WITHOUT INCIDENT AND HAS BEEN GROUNDED FOR INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE.  ACCOMPLISHED UNUSUAL CONDITIONAL INSPECTION IAW B767 AMM 72-00-00 NO FINDINGS NOTED. BORESCOPE IAW B767 AMM 72-00-00 NOTED STARTING AT STAGE 14 AND DOWN TO STAGE 10 FOUND MULTIPLE BLADES WITH DAMAGE OUT OF LIMITS. REMOVED AND REPLACED LEFT ENGINE. ALL OPERATIONAL AND POWERPLANT CHECKS GOOD.
