DURING PREFLIGHT INSP, AIRCREW NOTICED THE 2 FWD FLOOR EMERGENCY LIGHTS INOPERATIVE.  GROUND MX CREW CLEANED AND RESEATED CONNECTORS.  OPS CHECK OF THE EMERGENCY LIGHTING SYS WAS PERFORMED AND CHECKED SATISFACTORY.  ACFT RETURNED TO FLIGHT STATUS.
