NAV CB POPPED IN FLIGHT, SMOKE PRESENT ONLY WHEN CB POPPED  - REMOVED AND REPLACED ON/OFF SWITCH W/NEW. REPAIRED EXPOSED WIRE BEHIND ON/OFF SWITCH. IAW SA227 WIRING MANUAL CH 33-40-00  OPS CHECK GOOD.
