ASH 7463 ROC - FWD CABIN PBE VSI WAS PROTRUDING AND PACKAGE FELT SPONGY.  MX FOUND GOOD TO FLY FOR 36 HOURS AND AIRCRAFT WAS RELEASED FOR SERVICE.
