DURING PREFLIGHT TRANSIT FOUND CEILING EMERGENCY EXIT LIGHTS AT ROW 19, INOPERATIVE.  TROUBLE SHOT SYSTEM, REMOVED AND REPLACED BATTERY PACK IN CEILING, OPS CHECKED SATISFACTORY IAW MM.  RETURNED AIRCRAFT TO SERVICE.
