SMOKE AFT LAV WARNING MESSAGE SHORTLY AFTER TAKEOFF,  ACCOMPANIED BY STRONG SMOKE ODOR THROUGHOUT AIRCRAFT.  COMPLIED WITH LAV SMOKE DETECTOR WARNING, OPS CHECK GOOD.  INSPECTED LAV TRASH CAN,  LIGHTS, AND ALL CABINETS. NO FAULTS FOUND, IAW  AMM-26-16-00.
