NR 2 RADIAL ENGINE FRONT OIL SUMP CHIP DETECTOR LIGHT ILLUMINATED IN CRUISE FLIGHT.  ENGINE WAS SHUTDOWN AND RETARDANT LOAD JETTISONED.  AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO BASE WITH AN UNEVENTFUL LANDING.
