AIRCRAFT RETURNED DUE TO CARGO SMOKE INDICATION.  AFTER TROUBLESHOOTING, FOUND ZONE A CARGO SMOKE DETECTOR INOPERATIVE.  R & R ZONE A CARGO SMOKE DETECTOR IAW MM CHAPTER 26.  OPERATIONS CHECKED OK.
