PIT - FLT 707 - AS POWER WAS APPLIED FOR TAKEOFF, NR 1 ENGINE START VALVE OPEN LIGHT ILLUMINATED.  INDICATION WAS ACCOMPANIED BY A POPPING SOUND.  CLEANED AND LUBED NR 1 PRESSURE REGULATING SHUTOFF VALVE.  OPS CHECK NORMAL.  (M)
