SMOKE IN COCKPIT.  MAIN BATTERY CHARGER FAULTY.  SWAPPED MAIN CHARGER WITH APU CHARGER, OPS CHECK OK PER AMM 24-31-00.  DEFERRED APU BATTERY CHARGER PER MEL 24-24.
