ON CLIMBOUT FROM ANC AVIONICS SMOKE WARNING SYSTEM ACTIVATED.  CREW PERFORMED CHECKLIST PROCEDURE AND DETERMINED TO BE FALSE WARNING.  WARNING STAYED CONTINUOUS AND CREW ELECTED TO RETURN TO ANC.  MX CHANGED AVIONICS SMOKE DETECTOR AND RETURNED AIRCRAFT TO SERVICE.
