## Discrepancy

PILOT REPORTED GRINDING SOUND DURING START, FOUND STARTER GENERATOR SHAFT SHEARED. FOUND COMPRESSOR DID ROTATE FREELY WHEN CHECKED.  REPLACED WITH SERVICABLE STARTER GENERATOR. CAUSE OF SHAFT FAILURE NOT KNOWN.
