CREW REPORTED IRU 1 FAIL IN FLIGHT, DIVERTED TO DEN AND LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT, NO EMERGENCY DECLARED.  MAINTENANCE REMOVED AND REPLACED IRU 1 PER EMB AMM, A/C WAS THEN RELEASED INTO SERVICE.
